Hypertension Canada recommends 39 Blood Pressure Monitors with 17 having a Gold rating and 22 with a Silver rating stating, “Both Gold & Silver levels are accepted as accurate and have been clinically validated to be accurate”.
Medaval cannot find any evidence for 13 of the Gold devices and 20 of the Silver devices, proving that those devices are accurate, as it appears that no published and peer reviewed validation information can be found.
If the monitor is not clinically validated for accuracy it should be avoided.
How will you know your device is not Clinically Validated for accuracy?
Our advise, if we watermark the device with a question mark, then don’t buy.
